Title Cashier/Host
Salary $8.00/hr

Job Information

Position Summary: The host/cashier position is responsible for greeting customers in a warm and friendly manner at the door, seat and present customers with menus in a quick professional manner, take walk-in and phone orders, maintaining cleanliness within the restaurant, communicate clearly, operating a cash register and Point of Sale system, and comply with all company policies.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Great & seat guests in rotation & clearly communicate to server
  • Interact with guests as they leave to ensure a positive dine in experience
  • Process cash, credit card, or gift card payments
  • Strive to exceed our guests’ expectations
  • Record names on a wait list, quote accurate wait times & pass out buzzers
  • Assign server sections & proper cut times
  • Help maintain beer inventory
  • Observe tables and keep track of clean/dirty/occupied tables
  • Answer phones and questions concerning the restaurant and the menu
  • Check server side work and complete hosts side work
  • Other duties as directed

Typical Work Week: 15-20 hours

Position Summary: The server is responsible for selling and serving food and drinks in a professional manner, refilling drinks, communicating clearly with guests, complete assigned side work, strive to exceed guests expectations, be able to multitask, work in a team oriented environment, restock items, maintaining cleanliness within the restaurant, operating a Point of Sale system, and comply with all company policies.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to sell food, drink and alcohol items
  • Wait on large parties easily
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Maintain side work
  • Able to clear, clean, and reset a table
  • Maintain personal hygiene
  • Report to on call shifts as directed
  • Must be able to serve alcohol
  • Other duties as directed

Typical Work Week: 20-25 hours
